“Wherefore, whatever the progress in technology and economic life, there can be neither justice nor peace in the world, so long as men fail to realize how great is their dignity; for they have been created by God and are His children” (Mater et Magistra, Pope John XXII, 1961, #215).

Every man and every woman was created in the image and likeness of God and therefore deserves the basic human dignity due to all.  The Respect Life effort at St. Margaret’s engages in local and diocesan wide activities that promote respect for life in all forms and against all human injustices.  Respect life covers a broad array of injustices including abortion, capital punishment, euthanasia, human trafficking, unjust deportation and poverty. We encourage anyone who wants to defend human dignity to please join us in protecting those who are unable to protect themselves.
