OCIC (Order of Christian Initiation for Children)
“Parents, do not anger your children, but rear them in the discipline and in the teaching of Our Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).
This program is similar to the RCIA Ministry but is geared for young people in second through eighth grades who are interested in joining our Catholic faith. Attendees are accompanied by faithful parishioners willing to share the faith for a period of time, resulting in their full reception into the Church either at the Easter Vigil or at some other time during the year. We also encourage children who have not had formal religious training in recent years to join in this program of accompaniment before being integrated into our regular PSR program. We can always use faithful parishioners to share the faith!
