Grace Purvis is a familiar face around St. Margaret. A lifelong parishioner here at our church, she is currently a sophomore at Tulane University where she is majoring in Psychology on their pre-med track.

Grace was very active in St. Margaret’s Youth Group and continues to serve and share her love of Christ with others when home and while in college. Through Grace’s love of art and gift giving, her Full of Grace business emerged. Grace makes wire earrings of various lovely designs, and 10% of the proceeds are donated to St. Vincent de Paul. Grace was introduced to St. Vincent de Paul through our Youth Group’s annual Mission Krewe experience as well as the The Franciscan Experience Summer Institute. Grace shared that donating was “The best way to support St. Vincent de Paul from a distance.”

Another way Grace brings Jesus to others is by being a part time cook and receptionist at the Catholic Student Center on Tulane’s campus. This is where she encountered the FOCUS Missionaries, whose joy, service, and passion for Jesus attracted her. Through her relationship with these missionaries, she has discerned to join a 10-week Summer Project with the organization. During this experience, she will be working in the secular world while living in a community.

We are proud of Grace and her servant’s heart. If you want to check out her Full of Grace business, you can find her on Instagram @full_.of._grace. Please join us in praying for her as she embarks on this new endeavor with FOCUS this summer!
